Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has assured residents in the Abeokuta South Local Government Area that the Ijeja-Igbore bridge linking two communities will be fully completed and operational by the end of November.

Abiodun made this announcement on Friday during an on-site assessment of the ongoing construction work on the bridge.

While addressing the community, the Governor pledged that rehabilitation efforts would also be initiated on the entire stretch of the Ijeja-Igbore road.

“I have inquired about the timeline for the completion of the Ijeja-Igbore bridge, and the contractor has informed me that it will be completed by next month.

“Once the bridge is finalised, we will ensure the contractor is mobilised to the Ijeja-Igbore road for its reconstruction,” he said.

Abiodun expressed gratitude to the residents for their patience throughout the construction period.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to undertaking projects that significantly enhance the living conditions of the people in Ogun State.
