Olympique Lyonnais has decided to turn the page with a player who has never been able to meet expectations since his arrival. Although the club tried to offer him a chance elsewhere via a loan, the latter was not convincing enough to consider a return.
A definitive departure for a failing player
This player is none other than Adryelson, a 26-year-old Brazilian defender. Arriving with the ambition of solidifying the Lyon defense, he never managed to win in Ligue 1. Loaned to Botafogo, he however found color by winning the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores, while playing 11 matches in the space of four months.
Despite this success in Brazil, OL did not consider it appropriate to reinstate him. The club now prefers to part ways with him permanently, illustrating a desire to rectify past mistakes in recruitment.
