There is uncertainty surrounding the future of coach Pierre Sage, under contract with Olympique Lyonnais until June 2024.
Propelled to the head of Olympique Lyonnais after the dismissal of Fabio Grosso last November, Pierre Sage has established himself as the man for the job. With a record of 12 wins and 5 losses in 17 matches, he was able to breathe new life into a team in distress.
Despite its convincing results, the future of Sage in Lyon remains uncertain. The club’s management, with the exception of its registration for the Professional Football Coaching Certificate (BEPF), has not yet given any sign of its renewal.

The French technician’s lack of diploma constitutes a major obstacle. Its current situation is costly for OL (€25,000 per match) and does not meet the requirements of Ligue 1.

In addition, the team is still in the running for the Coupe de France, with a semi-final clash planned against Valenciennes on April 2.
