Olivier Giroud should open a new chapter in his club career.

It's not yet official, but it's getting there: Olivier Giroud should leave AC Milan to take the plunge next summer.

While his contract with the Rossoneri expires on June 30, the 2018 world champion would have chosen to take up the American challenge by signing up with the Los Angeles FC franchise, in California. He would join his long-time accomplice Hugo Lloris, who joined the club this winter.

Agreement reached for Giroud

According to information from Fabrizio Romano, Olivier Giroud and representatives of Los Angeles FC have reached an agreement on the terms of a future contract. The top scorer in the history of the French team would sign a one and a half year lease, which would bind him to Los Angeles FC until December 2025.

As a reminder, Olivier Giroud joined AC Milan from Chelsea in the summer of 2021. He is still the Lombard club's top scorer this season, with 12 goals in Serie A. At the age of 37, Giroud would leave Europe for the first time in his career. This chapter might be the last.
