The draw for the group stage of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games was made this Wednesday evening.

Thierry Henry and his staff are set on their initial Olympic program. On June 24, the Blues have an appointment with the United States as part of the first day of the group stage of the Olympic tournament. Then it will be against the winner of the play-off between Guinea and the fourth of the next U23 Asian Cup (from April 15 to May 3) and against New Zealand that the French will try to get their ticket to the quarter-finals.

“We know what we have to prepare,” said the Espoirs coach, directly, on France 3. We have a friendly against the United States on Monday. Then we will find ourselves at the Olympics… We will try to go as far as possible. We will not play teams from our continent. Once again we will have to get out of our group. Nothing is easy. »

Argentina or Morocco in quarter?

The draw made this Wednesday remains no less lenient, while the Bleuets could notably do battle with Spain or Morocco – two scarecrows in hat 2. In the event of qualification, it is with the survivors of pool B that the French team will encounter. Either Argentina, Morocco, Ukraine or third in the U23 Asian Cup.
