A way out, finally, for OM’s undesirables? A way out certainly exists for some of them.
Six days is the time allotted to Ligue 1 clubs to strengthen their ranks in this summer window. On August 30, at midnight, the transfer window will be over in France and in many European countries. However, alternative solutions will always be available to those affected by a change of horizon.
In L1, this particularly concerns OM, which despite the departure of Pau Lopez for Girona still has a lot to do in terms of departures of players who have become undesirable. Chancel Mbemba, Samuel Gigot, Ulisses Garcia and Jordan Veretout are among them, with two of them already receiving concrete offers from the Middle East. No follow-up so far.

Mbemba and Veretout have declined offers from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. An approach that still applies to the Congolese defender, still on the Al-Ittihad’s radar according to La Provence – not to mention the information recently obtained by Bologna for a former Dragon listed at 6 million euros by the Olympian management.
As for the timing, the Saudi option seems ideal for the Marseille general staff – the Riyadh market does not close until October 6 – and the Doha market closes on September 9. OM could take advantage of this to extract another element on the tangent: Azzedine Ounahi, a player who is also popular in the Middle East and who does not really fit into Roberto De Zerbi’s plans.
