Olympique de Marseille was the most active club in this summer transfer window.

Seven points in three games, an already well-oiled attack and an attractive playing identity: theMarseille Olympics De Zerbi’s version was quick to seduce observers. After a season that was largely unsuccessful, the Marseille club has all the assets to restore its reputation in Ligue 1, especially since it benefits from a lighter schedule this year since it has not qualified for the European Cup.

But even more than these parameters, it is the recruitment carried out during this summer transfer window that is generating a wave of enthusiasm. With more than 30 cumulative movements (arrivals and departures combined), OM was the most active club in this transfer window in France. And Pablo Longoria especially pulled off a very big coup by securing the services of Mason Greenwood.

Wave of optimism for OM

Author of 5 goals in his first 3 appearances, the English striker displays clinical efficiency. To the point of emerging in September as the best player in this championship. This is the opinion of journalist Florent Gautreau. ” I am certain that this OM, without the European Cup, will obviously play for the podium, that we undoubtedly have, in this team, the best player in L1 with (Mason) Greenwood and enormous players, but I am not certain that they will be able to go and tease PSG”.

The coming weeks will confirm, or not, this optimism. OM’s menu will be more copious when they return from the international break since the Marseille club will have to face Nice, then Lyon and Strasbourg.
