There are only a few hours left to complete the last files. Barring any surprises, this end of the transfer window should be fairly calm at OM. Only François-Régis Mughe should pack his suitcase. As we announced yesterday, the 19-year-old Cameroonian will join Dunkirk in Ligue 2 where he will be able to benefit from playing time to improve his skills. He would be the only departure. The Jonathan Clauss case remains on standby, due to lack of offer and the player’s desire to stay.
It is this last file which has ignited the Canebière in recent days. We revealed it to you on Monday, the Marseille management did not appreciate the behavior of the former Lensois, nor his recent performances. She criticizes him for coming out injured a little quickly during the draw against Monaco last weekend (2-2). She tried to make him pay by pushing him out. There was interest but it didn’t go any further. The fault is also a bit of a tight timing.
It’s stuck between Roma and OM
Jonathan Clauss will indeed be in Marseille this second part of the season. OM anticipated a possible departure of the player by contacting Stade Rennais for Lorenz Assignon, then AS Roma for Zeki Çelik. An agreement was close with the Breton full-back but the latter ultimately took the direction of Galatasaray, then Burnley. At the time of writing, Assignon has still not signed for the Clarets… The lead was abandoned by OM, who refocused on the Turk. The idea of bringing him in has not completely disappeared, even if Clauss stays.
Sky Sport Italia announced yesterday the proximity of an agreement around a loan with option to purchase from the former Lille player. In the meantime, Galatasaray has entered the dance, offering the same formula as OM. La Louve would like to get rid of his player under contract until 2025 but wants a departure with no possible return, like the rest of the player. This is precisely where the negotiations are stuck, since according to the same Italian media, the two interested clubs have said no to a purchase obligation of €11 million. If no one takes a step aside, things may well get stuck permanently…
