The coach of Olympique de Marseille, Roberto De Zerbi, spoke about the situation of Chancel Mbemba, reinstated in training after being sidelined from the professional group.

Although he was seen training with his teammates this week, Chancel Mbemba remains blacklisted by Roberto De Zerbi. The Italian technician did not beat around the bush when discussing the situation of the Congolese defender this Friday at a press conference.

“I have always told the truth and I try to behave well with everyone. The situation has not changed with him. I spoke with him this summer and, in my role, I have to make decisions which are not always easy”said Roberto De Zerbi.

Mbemba pushed towards the exit

The OM coach hopes for an outcome with Mbemba

“as was done with Veretout, Gigot and Pau Lopez”. “We told him we intended to rebuild the team with other players. This is not a question you asked me when we were first in the standings. These are choices that we made to move forward, but they are choices made with respect.”

Pushed towards the exit, Chancel Mbemba should therefore find a base in the coming weeks. As a reminder, OM is traveling to Montpellier this Sunday for the 8th day of Ligue 1 (8:45 p.m.).
