What risks does OM face in the Mbemba case?

Olympique de Marseille will have to do things properly for the treatment of the player. The UNFP, the professional footballers’ union, reminded this Sunday of the type of sanction to which the club was exposed if it did not reintegrate its defender into the professional group.

“Article 507 of the Football Charter requires clubs to reintegrate professional players into the first training group from August 31, can we read. As of August 31, a player must be reinstated to his club’s first team. If the club does not reinstate him, the player can refer the matter to the LFP Legal Committee. After a hearing of the parties, if the Legal Committee notes that the player has been sidelined, it will then order the club to immediately reinstate the player on the basis of Article 507 of the Charter. If the club does not comply with this decision, it is at fault on the basis of the non-execution of a decision made by an LFP committee. Disciplinary proceedings before the LFP Disciplinary Committee could be initiated against the club, which would then be exposed to the imposition of a sanction in accordance with the scale provided for in the LFP regulations, which could go as far as a ban on recruitment or even a withdrawal of points. In other words: the notion of loft no longer has any place once the transfer window is over. OM has been warned.
