At 37, former French international Dimitri Payet is preparing to take all his admirers on the wrong foot.
Even at the very end of his career, Dimitri Payet remains someone unpredictable. While we have lost sight of him a little since his departure for Brazil and the Vasco da Gama club, the Reunionese is planning a spectacular comeback.
Payet will reappear again on a football show in France. This hasn’t happened since March 2016 and his appearance in Canal Football Club. Usually so discreet in the media, the one who has 38 appearances (and 8 goals) with the France team accepted the invitation from the L’Equipe Channel. He will host the L’Equipe de Greg show this Monday from 6:20 p.m.
Payet can no longer hide
The Brazilian championship is on break. This is why Payet had the opportunity to return to France. Before recharging his batteries with his family, he agreed to appear on screen and take stock of his current affairs. He will notably discuss his retirement plan and this retraining as manager which awaits him in Marseille. The one that Pablo Longoria promised him when he left the club in 2023.
The former Lille player will also not fail to give his point of view on the start of the Olympians’ season. Even though he is now thousands of kilometers away, he undoubtedly remains a big fan of the team where he played for eight years. We will also question him about Roberto De Zerbi, the new boss of the place in the Marseille city. In short, lots of interesting topics to discuss with the native of Saint-Pierre.
