Jesse Lingard has reportedly received offers from as many as 26 clubs, as the free agent moves closer to a move to FC Seoul in South Korea.

Despite training with West Ham and Al-Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia since leaving Nottingham Forest last summer, Lingard has failed to land a contract. However, Sami Mokbel has sensationally claimed that the midfielder is spoiled for choice as several clubs across the world are keen to sign him. FC Seoul remains the leading candidate to secure his services, although Lingard carefully evaluates all his options before making a final decision.

Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Transfer Week podcast, the trade journalist said: “News broke late last night of a potential transfer for Jesse Lingard to South Korea with FC Seoul. This is the first time that there has been talk of a transfer of Jesse Lingard to South Korea, with FC Seoul. It was confirmed to me that FC Seoul were indeed interested in Jesse Lingard and that they had offered him a two-year contract to play in Southeast Asia. »

Lazio still on the lookout

“But I’ve also been told to hold back a little bit from saying it’s a done deal because there are up to 26 other offers, from what I’ve been told, from different clubs around the world who are interested in Jesse Lingard.”

If OM is among this plethora of clubs, Mokbel affirmed that Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio has also contacted its representatives and that Lingard will make his decision taking into account several other factors, in addition to the sporting aspect.. “We are informed that Lazio are among the clubs that have made offers for Jesse Lingard” , he said.

“It depends on how far he would want to venture, how far he would be willing to move away from his family if he had to go abroad. I’ve been to Seoul before, it’s a great place, but it’s a long flight home. It all depends on whether he wants to put himself through these flights and travel arrangements. » Lingard could arrive in South Korea on Monday and undergo his medical before signing for Kagoshima. The player seems eager to explore new horizons and moving his base to the Far East would be a first step in this direction.
