Having had an XXL start to the season with Marseille, Mason Greenwood is already attracting the attention of the continent’s biggest teams.

Mason Greenwood may not be long in coming at OM. The English striker has had an exceptional start to the campaign so far in Ligue 1. That has been a positive for the Phocéens, but there is also a downside. His good start has earned the player the attention of several giants on the continent.

Greenwood was sold to Manchester United from the Olympians for €26 million, plus a 50% buyout clause. According to British media talkSPORT, United could benefit from this clause much sooner than expected.

No departure for Greenwood until next summer

Just this week, Barça, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have all come forward with news about the former Getafe player. If one of these big names were to go on the offensive next summer, OM will have a hard time holding on to their new star.

If Greenwood does leave, it shouldn’t happen before next off-season. Marseille should be able to keep him in their squad, at least until the end of the season. With the hope of course that this brilliant winger leads Roberto De Zerbi’s team to the top of Ligue 1.
