Everything was wrapped up between Como, OM and Pau Lopez. The goalkeeper had agreed with the Italian club on the terms of a contract and the two managements had agreed on a loan with an obligation to buy. The Phocéens simply needed to find a replacement for the Spaniard to give the final green light. This objective is proving more complicated than expected despite the last lead leading to Timon Wellenreuther (Feyenoord).

The days go by and OM is struggling, forcing Côme to review his plans. According to Sky Italythe promoted Serie A team even dropped the matter since it reached an agreement with Sampdoria for the permanent transfer of Emil Audero (27 years old). Why did it fall through with OM? According to our information, the player’s agent demanded money from the Marseille management, to compensate for the difference between his salary at Olympie and that offered by Côme. OM rejected this request, already scalded by Côme’s rather low offer, which it had nevertheless agreed to accept in order to facilitate the player’s departure.
