INEOS are already making moves to reshape Manchester United following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s decision to appoint Omar Berrada as the club’s new chief executive.

It’s still early days for Ratcliffe and co at United, but it feels like a new era is coming at Old Trafford.

Berrada was appointed after being poached from Man City and is the first major coup since Ratcliffe acquired 25% stake in the club, although his partial takeover deal is still in the process of being ratified by the Premier League.

According to Fabrizio Romano (appearing on The United Stand), one of the first areas Berrada will look to address is United’s questionable recruitment. The journalist claims the new CEO will now give underperforming players no more than two years to turn their fortunes around before they are sold.

United need to be more reckless when it comes to underperforming players. Far too many players overstay their welcome and it’s about time the club changed its approach.

Romano claims those who have been at the club longer than two years will be deemed as “unacceptable” by the new United board.

That means we are set to see big changes at United.

Hopefully, we will soon see an improvement on the pitch if players learn that their futures are on the line.

The Reds are currently seventh in the Premier League – 10 points adrift of Arsenal who occupy the last Champions League spot.
