A B2B e-commerce platform, OmniRetail has launched its 50th OmniHub franchise in Lagos, aimed at bridging supply chain gaps and boosting the distribution of fast-moving consumer goods across underserved Nigerian communities.

In a statement, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OmniRetail, Deepankar Rustagi highlighted the significance of the company’s expansion, describing it as a vital step in its mission to reshape FMCG distribution across Africa.

Rustagi expressed gratitude to stakeholders, remarking, “Launching the 50th OmniHub is a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and shared vision.”

He hailed franchise partners for building the vast network that now serves millions of households nationwide.

Rustagi further stated, “We are committed to scaling even further, improving efficiency in the FMCG supply chain, and creating more opportunities for local businesses.

“Through this model, OmniHub will cultivate more entrepreneurs, with committed owners dedicated to serving their communities effectively.”

Moreover, the Chief Operating Officer Adewale Adisa announced that OmniRetail plans to add 250 more hubs by 2025, strengthening its “network of networks” strategy.

Adisa described the company’s model as “asset-light,” explaining that it focuses on empowering local entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth through scalable, tech-driven solutions.

He invited potential partners with commercial space to join the expansion and enter the FMCG distribution sector.

Adisa also pointed to OmniRetail’s efforts in digitising the local FMCG and retail sectors, which he said hold “great potential but face numerous roadblocks and value chain gaps.”

He explained that OmniRetail supports retailers with a diverse product range and offers “buy now, pay later” credit options to help businesses expand.
