Omos admits he needed to go to Japan to wrestle in order to grow as a performer.
In 2025, Omos made a surprising series of appearances in Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. He debuted at NOAH The New Year 2025, teaming with Jack Morris to win the GHC Tag Team Championships.
Omos became a hit with the fans who were enamoured with the sheer size of Omos. He wrestled seven times for the promotion before vacating the title and returning to the United States to continue his career in the WWE.
While his run was brief, Omos explained to MuscleManMalcolm how the trip to Japan was key for his development as a wrestler.
He also talked up Jack Morris, saying he has huge potential and called him a star.
“It was a life experience—something I needed for my growth as a performer. It was just great to be in a different culture. I was able to fully appreciate the Japanese scene, which is awesome.” Omos said.
“He was awesome, man. Jack [Morris] has so much potential. He was a great tag team partner, and I can’t speak highly enough of him. He’s freaking amazing. Be on the lookout for him—Jack Morris, man, he’s a star,” added Omos.
The Undertaker: Omos Is A Modern-Day Andre The Giant
While speaking on a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared that there are not too many people on the roster that Omos should not just squash. He compared the Nigerian Giant to the late-great Andre The Giant.
“You can’t not love that guy. He’s such a good guy, and you like to see people like that succeed. I hope they find something good for him. Yeah [he needs to have a big guy with him], there’s nothing else that makes sense. There’s just nobody on the roster that makes sense. I don’t care now over or what you are. If you sacrifice that, I just don’t…you can’t do it. You have to be so judicious in how you handle him, and there’s not many people I don’t think that he shouldn’t just squash. He is a modern-day Andre,” Undertaker said. [H/T Fightful.com]
