On The List: Another Prominent WWE Superstar’s Contract Set To Expire Next Week

Him too? There have been several changes to WWE in recent months as new owners have changed the way the company does business. One of the most striking changes has been the way the company handles contracts, as WWE is waiting quite a bit longer to negotiate a new deal with wrestlers. That can create some tight spots and we are in for another one next week.

According to Fightful Select, Chad Gable’s current WWE contract is set to expire next week. The two sides have not yet come to terms on a new deal, but WWE is interested in signing Gable to a new contract. Gable is currently chasing the Intercontinental Title and having issues with his Alpha Academy stable. He is one of several wrestlers whose contracts have come up in recent months, including Becky Lynch, whose deal is set to expire on June 1.

Opinion: It’s hard to fathom that WWE will not offer Gable a new deal, as they have been changing almost everything about him in recent weeks. Gable has become a highlight of Monday Night Raw and it would be horrible to see everything he has built up dropped so soon. There is every chance that the two sides could come to a new deal in time and that would be great to see.
