Morocco is aiming for its second victory in the CAN qualifiers, this Monday against Lesotho.
Although the host country of the next edition of the CAN, Morocco is playing in the qualifications of this competition. This Monday, the Maghreb team plays its second match against the modest team of Lesotho. This seems to be a formality for Walid Regragui’s gang.
The Moroccans signed a great victory last week against Gabon (4-1), with in particular a double from Hakim Ziyech. It will be necessary to confirm this demonstration of force against the 149e selection in the FIFA ranking.
Morocco is the clear favourite
In the last four years, Morocco has only suffered two defeats against opponents from its own continent. It is hard to see how this team could fall this Monday, especially since it is playing in front of its home crowd in Agadir. While it is supposed to play this match away.
The scene is set. It is up to the semi-finalists of the last World Cup to hold their place and continue their rise in anticipation of this major tournament at home which awaits them in a year.
