Algeria wants to wash away the affront. After an elimination in the first round of the last edition of the CAN in Cameroon and a non-participation in the previous World Cup in Qatar, the Fennecs intend to make up for it in Ivory Coast. Djamel Belmadi’s men will begin their tournament this Monday (9 p.m.) against Angola, at the Stade de la Paix, located in the city of Bouaké.

On the sidelines of their entry into this 2024 African Cup of Nations, Riyad Mahrez’s partners were full of confidence, winning their two preparation matches against Togo (3-0) and Burundi (4-0 ). For its part, Angola remains in six matches in a row without the slightest defeat.

As a reminder, Algeria is in Group D, with Angola, as well as Burkina Faso, semi-finalist in 2022, and Mauritania.
