He needs a new job. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling show work and some of them are there to make the experience that much better for the entire show. In some cases, those people are also wrestlers or former wrestlers, as they can add a certain perspective. Now though, one of those perspectives will be going away for the time being.

This week’s AEW Rampage was set to feature Chris Jericho on commentary but he did not appear in the role. Instead, Jericho and the Learning Tree appeared later in the show, with Jericho saying that he would be stepping away from commentary after Hook attacked him last week. There is no word on if this will be a permanent change. Jericho has done commentary on Rampage intermittently since its premiere.

Opinion: This makes sense for Jericho at the moment, as the Learning Tree stuff is not something that needs to be on the show most of the time. It is something that works well in smaller doses and I’m curious to see where Jericho goes next. This is certainly a change for what Jericho has been doing and now things are starting to go in a new direction, which might be a good thing.
