One More Round? CM Punk Teases Potential Steve Austin Match, Would Be Happy To Put Him To Sleep

That’s a dream match. There are certain matches that fans have wanted to see for years for one reason or another. Those matches might be so interesting for a natural chemistry or level of interest between the two, as there might be something between them that would make for a logical showdown. One current wrestler has a potential dream match and now is talking about how it could happen.

CM Punk was recently interviewed by the Masked Man Show, where he was asked about a potential match with Steve Austin at WrestleMania 41. Punk said that the decision would be up to Austin and that while the match should have happened ten plus years ago, he would be willing to put Austin to sleep. This comes as Austin has teased an appearance at WrestleMania 41, but nothing has been officially announced. WrestleMania 41 is set for April 19 and 20, 2025 in Paradise, Nevada.

Opinion: This is one of those matches that makes all of the sense in the world and if WWE can make it happen, it would be an all time classic moment. Whether the match itself would work would be a question, but having the two of them together would be quite the interesting setup. For now though, there is a great chance that this is little more than a one off line that leads nowhere, but that could change later.
