Manchester United have been navigating one of their most debilitating injury crises of recent years this season.
Indeed, the Red Devils have recorded 50 cases of injury or illness that have resulted in a player missing at least one game this term, and it’s certainly taken a toll on the side’s form.
Now approaching the ‘business’ end of the campaign, Erik ten Hag will need as many of his men available if United have any chance, albeit already slim, of claiming a top-four spot and progressing to the FA Cup final.
Rashford is currently carrying an injury
Numerous members of the squad have likely been playing through minor setbacks in order to aid results, namely Marcus Rashford, who has reportedly been carrying ‘a slight knock’ since the fifth-round FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest on February 28.
He started the subsequent three matches and was called up to represent England over the current break, though he has started as a substitute for both matches. His involvement in tonight’s clash at Wembley remains to be seen.
Club action resumes for the Reds this Saturday in an evening trip to face Brentford; kick-off is at 8pm.
