Only four Netflix TV shows have had viewers tune in for over 1 billion hours of viewing. If you don’t know, Netflix has two different ways of tracking data. First, they look at average viewership for its programming. This falls under a general “views” category, and tracks “total hours viewed divided by the total runtime.” The streamer tracks hours viewed as well. Previously, Netflix had tracked hourly viewers in the first 28 days. Now, they track hourly viewers in the first 91 days on the streaming service.
