Janelle Monáe Drags Nelly With Freestyle Rap
According to the video first shared by TMZ, the ‘Make Me Feel’ singer went IN over the ‘Hot in Herre’ instrumental. At one point, she even shouted out, “F**k Nelly,” and her reasoning has everything to do with President Donald Trump. In Janaury, the St. Louis rapper was in the hot seat on social media after performing at one of Trump’s inaugural events. The clip is about a minute long and shows Anderson, a live band, and Janelle rocking out on stage when she suddenly drops the F-bomb. .Paak didn’t add to her impromptu diss track, but he did call out “Oh sh*t” amid his laughs.
“I used to like Nelly and then he went to perform for Donald Trump. F**k that n***a, I don’t give a f**k. I’m with my family. Ain’t nobody gon’ hate on us, and imma look back like I don’t give a f**k,” Janelle Monáe rapped.
She then ran down the list of people and issues she cares about, which seemingly conflicted with the president’s political moves, including women and Hispanics.
“You sold out, I used to think you was cool. But now, you look like a motherf**king fool,” Janelle said about Nelly. She added that Trump doesn’t give a f**k about who he’s feeling. And for those wondering if liquor had an effect here. Janelle clarified, “I might be a little tipsy, but I know everything I’m motherf**king saying…F**k you n***a, get a new attitude.”
