Author and celebrity interior designer Jeremiah Brent has gotten Oprah Winfrey’s seal of approval.
We hear Oprah toasted Brent — the newest member of Netflix’s hit “Queer Eye” — at a party hosted by Paramount Pictures CEO Brian Robbins and his wife Tracy at their Montecito, Calif., home for Brent’s new book, “The Space That Keeps You: When Home Becomes a Love Story.”
Oprah is featured in the book, talking about her own home in an interview with Brent — who has worked with celebs like rocker Billy Joel, TV kingpin Ryan Murphy and stylist Rachel Zoe.
“Oprah grounds her home in whatever makes her feel comfortable,” says the tome. “She likes neutrals. She doesn’t like more than three colors in a room — four, max. She doesn’t like a lot of bright things bringing attention to themselves. She wants to feel soothed, and she wants her guests to feel the same way.”
Oprah appears in the book by Brent, who once had a show on OWN. Getty Images for Paramount PicturesWinfrey also speaks of her love of outdoor spaces, and her home features the largest private estate of sequoias in the Santa Barbara area.
“She has a special relationship with an area on her land where 12 oaks form their own oak hammock and grove. Oprah calls them The Apostles,” it says, revealing the talk show icon plans to have her ashes buried under one particularly large oak tree.
Brent is set to be the newest star of “Queer Eye,” replacing Bobby Berk. Getty Images for Paramount PicturesBrent had a show, called “Home Made Simple,” on Oprah’s OWN network.
Also raising a glass to the author at the bash along was his husband, Nate Berkus, was Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi, Jordana Brewster and her husband, ValueAct Capital CEO Mason Morfit.
Brian and Tracy Robbins , who hosted the party, also appear in the book. Jeremiah BrentBrent and Berkus were married in 2014 in front of guests including Oprah.
They also starred together in the TLC show “Nate & Jeremiah By Design,” and on the hit HGTV show “The Nate and Jeremiah Home Project.”
