Earl Osaro Onaiwu, former Director-General of the Governors Forum, Chairman of Mandate 36 Network, and Co-Founder of the Joy Osaro Onaiwu Foundation, today called on wealthy Nigerians to demonstrate empathy and support for the victims of the recent floods in Borno State.

The devastating floods have left thousands of people homeless, without access to basic necessities like food, water, and shelter. Onaiwu emphasized the need for affluent individuals to step up and provide assistance to those affected.

“We have a moral obligation to help those in need, especially in times of crisis,” Onaiwu said. “The people of Borno State are facing unimaginable hardship, and it’s our responsibility as a society to come together and offer support.”

Onaiwu encouraged wealthy Nigerians to donate generously to reputable organizations providing relief efforts in Borno State. He also urged the government to increase its support for the affected communities.

“Empathy and compassion are essential in times like these,” Onaiwu added. “Let us come together to make a difference in the lives of our fellow citizens.”
