Victor Osimhen is reportedly delaying a potential transfer to Chelsea as he would prefer to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Chelsea have been in contact with Napoli throughout the summer in an attempt to negotiate a deal for Nigerian striker Osimhen, with the Italian club keen to sign Romelu Lukaku in exchange. But according to Football Italia, the 25-year-old is waiting for PSG and is not keen on joining the Londoners.

Osimhen is reportedly nervous about joining the Premier League as Chelsea will not be playing in the Champions League this season. The Napoli forward scored 17 goals in 32 appearances for the Serie A side last season despite a very poor campaign for the Campanians.

Osimhen prefers PSG

While Osimhen is looking to leave the Italian top flight, Lukaku is keen to return. The Belgian forward has previously played for Inter and Roma but is now looking to link up with Antonio Conte again at Napoli.

Osimhen is reportedly on the receiving end of a swap deal between Napoli and Chelsea, but PSG are the closest to landing the 35-cap international. According to the latest reports, Napoli have asked for a €100 million price tag which needs to be met for them to consider parting ways with the striker.
