Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara
The Rivers State Government has commiserated with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on the demise of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following a brief illness.
In a condolence message in Port Harcourt, the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara, expressed shock over the sad news of the passing of the First Mother of Akwa Ibom state on September 26, 2024.
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday by Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Nelson Chukwudi, and sent to newsmen.
The governor said, “We received with sadness the news of the death of your lovely wife, Pastor Mrs Patience Umo Eno, who transitioned to glory on 26th September, 2024.
“Although, death is a certain end for every mortal, it is always painful to experience the loss of someone so dear to you, particularly one whom you have had a special bond for many years.
“This is why we truly understand how devastating this must be for you, knowing how close you were to your wife, and the positive influence she has had on you as a strong dependable pillar of support and inspiration.
“While we lack words to express the loss you bear, our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the good Lord encourage and strengthen you and members of your family at this time of grief.”
Similarly, the statement added that the good people of Rivers state, are praying to God Almighty to grant Eno and his entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
“Please, accept our sincere condolences,” the statement read
