SPOILERS AHEAD! Do not continue reading if you have not finished season four of Outer Banks on Netflix. Part 2 of season 4 just dropped on Thursday (November 7), and fans stayed up all night to watch what went down in the final episodes. The good news is: the show has been renewed for a final season at Netflix, so it will surely wrap up. The bad news: a major character was killed off. Keep reading to find out more… JJ, played by Rudy Pankow on the show, was killed off. A quick recap of what went down: JJ found out that Chandler Groff was his father, and eventually teamed up with his dad – all while he was being double crossed by him. Groff was causing mayhem and committing crimes, framing JJ for them. JJ’s friends eventually came to save him, but JJ went on a downward spiral due to everything that happened. His whirlwind of a season came to an end when JJ was determined to get to the Blue Crown before Groff. Unfortunately, Groff had other plans and stabbed JJ to death. The Pogues promised to avenge his death. We can only assume that Rudy will either exit the show permanently, or will not be heavily featured in season 5 except for potential flashbacks.
