EXCLUSIVE: Alex Cooper, host of the hit Call Her Daddy podcast, is adding to her talent pool.

Cooper has signed actor Owen Thiele, who starred in Theater Camp, to The Unwell Network, her burgeoning talent network.

Thiele is the latest rising star to join The Unwell Network’s ranks, following the likes of content creators Alix Earle, Madeline Argy and Perfect Match star Harry Jowsey.

Cooper launched The Unwell Network in August 2023 and is behind podcasts such as Hot Mess with Alix Earle, Pretty Lonesome with Madeline Argy and Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey. It is part of her media company Trending, which she founded with her husband Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment.

It will now work with Thiele to develop and produce upcoming projects.

Thiele previously starred in Zoey 102 for Paramount+, indie feature Parachute, directed by Brittany Snow and season two of Hulu’s Dollface. He is set to star in FX pilot Snowflakes, directed by Jonathan Krisel.

He is also developing Off Color, a semi-autobiographical comedy series for Amazon, exec produced by Brian Gallivan, Ilana Glazer and Kent Alterman and Sarah Babineau of Good Walk Entertainment.

“I’m so excited to officially welcome Owen to the Unwell family,” said Cooper. “He’s extremely talented, hilarious, relatable, and someone everyone instantly gravitates toward. He’s a perfect fit for the Unwell brand and is so unapologetically himself.”

“I’m such a fan of Alex and the evolution of Call Her Daddy,” said Thiele. “I started listening to her when she was discussing her horrible hookup disasters and I’m still listening now that she’s interviewing queen Gwyneth Paltrow. She’s such a brilliant voice in podcasting and I’m so honored to be championed by her in this space. Thank you Unwell for giving me the opportunity to talk even more than I already do.”
