'Pachinko' Cast Gets Playful at NYC Photo Call Ahead of Season 2 Launch!

The cast of Pachinko has begun their promo for season two of the Apple TV+ series.

Some of the Pachinko cast attended a photo call on Tuesday (August 13) in New York City.

Among the cast members in attendance were Lee Minho who plays Hansu, Minha Kim as teenage Sunja and Jin Ha who plays Solomon.

Season one of Pachinko premiered in 2022 and was met with rave reviews about the show’s amazing cinematography, the writing and the core cast’s performances.

Pachinko is based on Min Jin Lee’s 2017 novel of the same name. The series follows four generations of a Korean family through different periods in the characters’ lives. By casting multiple actors for older and younger versions of the same role, as well as utilizing time jumps, Pachinko is able to span itself over four generations.

One of the things that makes Pachinko unique and so captivating for audiences is the fact that the show is trilingual. It uses the English, Korean and Japanese languages as ways to communicate during different time periods with different characters.

With season two premiering on August 23, it’s no surprise that fans are buzzing about possible future seasons. According to the show’s creator, Soo Hugh, she has a plan for a total of four seasons with eight episodes each.

While it’s unconfirmed if Pachinko has been renewed through season four, Soo has many hopes for the future of the series.
