Discreet since his departure from AC Milan, Italian football icon Paolo Maldini has just spoken out to denounce an injustice.

AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini believes Serie A deserves better press. He feels it is undervalued.

Maldini insists that the Italian championship remains one of the best in the world. “The championship is not very well rated, but technically, tactically and in terms of knowledge it is among the top three,” Maldini said.

Maldini recognizes Inter’s superiority

Despite his Rossoneri past, the former defender recognizes Inter’s superiority in Serie A. “Inter are the best equipped team, then there have been a lot of changes in the opponents, who will need some time to put their team together. Milan finished second last season and are a contender.”

Finally, Maldini indicated that the race for the title should be very competitive this season: “Juventus have brought reinforcements, as have Napoli and Roma. These are teams that are fighting for the title.”
