Former Nigerian international Dosu Joseph says he’s still optimistic the Super Falcons will qualify for the next round of the Paris Olympic Women’s Football event despite losing against Spain on Sunday.
Recall that Nigeria narrowly lost 1-0 to Spain in their second Group C game to sit bottom of the group.

However, reacting after the team’s loss, Dosu, in a chat with Completesports.com stated that he’s confident the Super Falcons will get the right result against Japan in their final group game.
“It’s been tough for the Super Falcons after playing Brazil and Spain. The team narrowly lost to Brazil and Spain, but I am still confident that it’s not yet over for the team.
“Mathematically, there is still an outside chance for the team to qualify if the team gets a positive result against Japan, who are having three points. It will be wrong to write off the team.”
