Pat McAfee first signed with the WWE in 2018. He initially started his WWE career in NXT where he feuded with Adam Cole and Undisputed Era in a heated rivalry.
Over the years, McAfee transitioned into a commentary role on WWE SmackDown. He has been popular among the fans in his role as a color commentator. He was known for his flamboyance and antics on the mic.
McAfee brought a unique energetic vibe that wasn’t seen before from WWE commentators. Hence, fans were disappointed when McAfee stepped away from WWE to work on ESPN College Game Day.
However, he made sporadic appearances for the WWE in the past year. It was rumored that McAfee will soon be returning to the WWE. Tonight at the WWE Royal Rumble PLE, McAfee surprised the WWE Universe when he returned to do commentary for the women’s Royal Rumble match.
