The 2024 Royal Rumble just concluded on January 27. The show was headlined by the men’s Royal Rumble match which was eventually won by Cody Rhodes for the second consecutive year.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match provided many entertaining moments that had fans on the edge of their seat. One moment was when Pat McAfee entered the match at number 22.

However, when McAfee got into the ring, he saw Bron Breakker and Omos standing there and decided to eliminate himself ending his match time at 38 seconds. McAfee spoke about his Royal Rumble performance on the Pat McAfee show where he stated that he would’ve challenged Seth Rollins if he won the Royal Rumble.

“A lot of people just assume I would go right at the big Uce, Roman Reigns. Nope. Seth F**kin Rollins, I’m coming at you pal. I don’t want to dance with Roman, and Seth has a knee (injury). By the way, (I) don’t deserve the opportunity, don’t desire the opportunity. Would love to watch everything that takes place. You pick Seth because of the knee thing, but Cody wants to finish the Universal (Title) story.”

Although McAfee’s tenure in the Rumble didn’t last, he still managed to entertain the fans by climbing over the top rope and eliminating himself. While he may not compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40, maybe he will return in a commentary role.

What do you make of Pat McAfee’s Royal Rumble performance? Do you think he shouldn’t have eliminated himself? Sound off in the comments section.
