Pau Cubarsi, the thunderbolt

It was more or less expected, but it’s still a sensation. At 17 years old and not even two months old, Pau Cubarsi was called up by Luis de la Fuente, the Spanish coach.

With 9 La Liga matches on the clock, and a remarkable performance for his debut in the Champions League (he was elected man of the match against Naples), the FC Barcelona defender has earned his place within La Roja, in a sector of game where we will find two Frenchmen, Aymeric Laporte (Al-Nassr) and Robin Le Normand (Real Sociedad), and another newcomer, Dani Vivian (Athletic Bilbao, 24 years old).
