Peter Okoye, one of the Nigerian singing twin sensation P-Square, has broken his silence after his twin brother, Paul Okoye confirmed their split.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Peter and Paul Okoye, known as P-Square, recently gone their separate ways two years after their highly-publicised reunion in 2021.
This comes after Paul Okoye Rudeboy announced during a recent interview with a City FM shared on YouTube some couple of days ago, that the music group (P-Square) no longer exists.
He said: “No, P-Square is no more. Before, I didn’t say anything about it, but something happened that I began to see, and it started picking up. As it is for me now, I’m just focused on Rudeboy. Trust me, I’ve never spoken, but something has made me open up, especially the critical element that keeps bringing up this problem.”
Paul Okoye stated that his twin, Mr P filed a petition against him and he was investigated by the EFCC.
After months of minimal public engagement, Mr. P who recently asked his fans to be patient, hinting at an upcoming project shared an open letter to his brother on Monday, August 12th addressing some of the claims Paul made, particularly the brain behind some of their hits songs when they were team ‘PSquare’.
Peter in the letter shared on his Instagram page questioned his twin’s rationale of constantly disrespecting, belittling his ideas, family, talent all the time, as he stressed the how they, Paul and Jude always looked for opportunites to marginalize and humiliated him.
Peter, who noted that he’s never in a competition with his brother, outlined how he made several efforts to make the team work, but never got the right acknownlegment from his brothers.
