Not at all resigned despite the series of adverse events, Paul Pogba will do everything to get back on the football pitch.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has appealed his doping ban and is determined to return to the field.

Pogba was banned for four years earlier this year after testing positive for testosterone last season. After months of planning with his legal team, ‘La Pioche’ was in Switzerland this week to lodge his appeal.

Pogba in expectation

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Frenchman appeared before the Swiss courts in Lausanne, where he filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The former Manchester United player gave his version of the facts concerning his taking of prohibited substances. He pleads good faith and thus hopes for a pardon from the authorities. Or, at least, a significant reduction in his sentence.

The 31-year-old midfielder, who has defended himself and explained himself, will now wait to hear the decision, which may not come for several months.
