Major League Wrestling is set to host its Never Say Never special event this coming Saturday, the 10th of August. One of the major matches of the night is the MMA Cage Match between ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawler, and actor-turned-professional wrestler Paul Walter Hauser.
Recently, MLW released a preview video hyping up the aforementioned match. During the video package, Hauser shared his thoughts on the match and how important it is to him.
“Court Bauer invited me to be a part of that Battle Riot. Had the time of my life. I am an actor. And I am now a wrestler. And I am in MLW to make a difference… I was really excited to step into this world. And as I stepped into this world, I was stepped on by Tom Lawler. And the thing about an actor is you can’t get me in an environment that I am not okay with. I improvise, I adapt, I know the script, and I also go off of script. You can underestimate me. And you can have fun with me. But this as they say is as real as it gets right? What happens when the underdog takes down the ultimate fighter? I guess we’ll see,” Paul Walter Hauser said.
Tom Lawler also wanted to see how tough Hauser really is.
“Paul Walter Hauser an award-winning actor? What awards has this guy won? How many black belts does Paul Walter Hauser have? Paul, you go around pretending to be fake people all the time huh? I am as real as it gets… We’ll find out how real you really are boy,” Tom Lawler said.
