Last night on Ring of Honor Television, the ROH Tag Team Champions were interviewed by Lexi Nair to know their plans for the upcoming Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view. They were interrupted by former WWE Superstar Paul Wight who made a surprising announcement.
Mike Bennett mentioned that Tony Khan had not responded to him in any way and thus was convinced the champions were getting their day off.
“Oh ho, do I have an update for you, because I’ve reached out to TK [Tony Khan] and he hasn’t my phone calls, my emails, my text messages. But the most egregious thing is, he hasn’t returned my Instant Messages. So, I can only assume that only means one thing Matthew. We are getting the day off,” Mike Benett said.
Matt Taven agreed with Bennett but was taken aback by Paul Wight’s arrival.
“Yeah. It sounds like a yes to me. All right ‘Not Renee’ we already told the little one with the stupid name, we are taking the day off. We’ve been at every show for nine months, Dynamite, Collision, Rampage, Ring of Honor, we are always here. And what a day it will be that TK will finally give use the day off. Please TK because you are the best boss ever because Roderick Strong is about to win the Ring of Honor… My goodness gracious…,” Matt Taven said.
Paul Wight reveals what the Undisputed Kingdom will be doing at Death Before Dishonor
Paul Wight mentioned that he was one of the Board of Directors for ROH and that at the pay-per-view, Bennett and Taven will defend their titles against Tomohiro Ishii and Kyle O’Reilly.
“Good evening gentlemen. I’ve got some good news and I’ve got some bad news. The good news is, Tony Khan has just appointed me to the Board of Directors for Ring of Honor. And the bad news, is Tony Khan and I have seen some of the shenanigans you guys have been running back here. So, unfortunately for you, you will be defending those Ring of Honor Championships this Friday at Death Before Dishonor against Ishii and O’Reilly,” Paul Wight said.
