Nigerian talent manager Paul Okoye also known as PaulO has criticized human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, for associating Burna Boy with the re arrest of singer, Speed Darlington.
This comes after Deji Adeyanju took to his verified Facebook to slam Burna Boy, accusing him of oppressing Speed Darlington and contradicting his anti-oppression stance.
His post reads,”Burna Boy behind harassment of Speed Darlington by the police. This is someone who has being singing against oppression and forming junior Fela now oppressing Akpi”.
Reacting to popular activist’s remark, PaulO in a post on Instagram asked Deji to get his facts right and respect Burna Boy.
PaulO accused the lawyer of being unprofessional and spreading misinformation, urging Deji to handle his clients more responsibly.
He wrote: “Lawyer Deji or what ever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s Name? Why are you even mentioning Burna Boy’s name?? Smh You’re nothing more than a social media lawyer! Lawyer my Ass. Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth Control your client.”
In response, the human rights lawyer wrote: “I don’t respond nonentities”
Recall, the counsel to controversial Nigerian singer, Speed Darlington, Stan Alieke, had disclosed that the singer was re-arrested in Owerri, Imo state, last night for jumping bail.
In October, Darlington was detained after his colleague Burna Boy filed a petition against him, for questioning the authenticity of Burna Boy’s Grammy award, linking the A-list artiste to embattled music mogul Sean Combs, known as P Diddy or Puff Daddy.
Alieke said the singer was given a date to report back but was unable to do so due to a medical emergency that required him to travel abroad for treatment.
The lawyer stressed that Darlington had no intention to jump bail, as he had arranged to return to Abuja after his performance at Owerri.
