Pep Guardiola’s response when asked about a possible return to Barcelona

Pep Guardiola is a beloved figure and a legend at FC Barcelona for everything he achieved at the club.

As such, whenever the team is going through a difficult phase or results are not going their way, there always seems to be a call for the return of their legendary former manager, who is currently coaching Manchester City.

Guardiola, for his part, has previously addressed the matter head-on, saying: “The door is closed, we are grown up now.”

But Cules still dream of seeing the Santpedor native back at the helm of affairs at the club in the future.

Guardiola asked again about Barcelona return

Now, Guardiola has once again been asked about a possible return to Barcelona in the documentary series “El Nou Clam.”

Indeed, as per SPORT, David Caraben, commissioner of Barcelona’s 125th anniversary, is working on a new commemorative anthem.

In addition, throughout the program, he engages in dialogue with some of the most prominent figures in Barcelona’s history. Among these figures is Guardiola.

In a brief clip of the documentary, it can be seen that David Carabén asks the former FC Barcelona manager: “After so many years, isn’t it about time you came back, Pep?”

Faced with this recurring question, Guardiola only responds with a subtle laugh.

Barcelona are not looking for a change at this point, in a good place under the new management of Hansi Flick. The German tactician enjoying a brilliant start to life in Catalonia after taking over from Xavi Hernandez.

As such, there is no immediate thought of Guardiola’s return.

However, while the 53-year-old has previously insisted that the doors for a return to Barcelona are closed, as per the report, he might be open to coming back to the club in a different capacity, particularly one focused on youth development at La Masia.
