Man City manager Pep Guardiola has sent a warning to Manchester United after the Reds poached Omar Berrada from the Etihad because he believes it will take more for us to become a powerhouse again.

United announced the major coup of landing Berrada last weekend in a move that left the football world shocked. It went completely under the radar that INEOS were trying to get Berrada to Old Trafford and it was unexpected that they would be successful.

Berrada is set to become the new CEO at United in the summer.

United fans will hope this is the start of the wheels coming off City’s bus, with Guardiola likely to spend one more season at the club after this one. The same could be said for star player Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne isn’t getting any younger.

Guardiola admits losing Berrada is a big blow but insists City still have the best talent on the pitch.

He also joked about United building a stand for Berrada in the future (via The Star): “Maybe United thinks with this person, everything is going to change? Congratulations! Deeply I wish him the best, because he’s a fantastic person.

“But I don’t know if by doing this, everything is going to be sorted and it works [at United]. If it does happen then, oh my God, they have to make a stand for Omar in the future, because he’d deserve it.

“But Kevin De Bruyne is still here, Erling Haaland will still play here, so in the end it’s not that simple like that.”

If United build a stand for Berrada after fixing the mess, I wonder what City will do to celebrate Guardiola when they get done for cheating?
