Pete Dunne borrowed from a classic bag of tricks on WWE RAW.
On the July 29 episode of WWE RAW, Sheamus faced Bronson Reed. This was a rematch of their clash on their July 15th episode, where Sheamus scored the win. The two powerhouses battled back and forth throughout the bout. Sheamus was on the verge of victory when Pete Dunne snuck in and hit him with a shillelagh when the referee wasn’t looking. Reed then hit the Tsunami for the win.
Dunne and Sheamus have been feuding in recent weeks. They are former Brawling Brutes stablemates, and the duo teased a brief reunion before Dunne turned on Sheamus.
Sheamus often used a shillelagh during the Brawling Brutes’ run together. The group went their separate ways when Sheamus went down with an injury in August 2023. Dunne and Ridge Holland later split up as well after they had a run as a tag team, both on the main roster and in NXT.
Pete Dunne’s NXT Appearances
In recent weeks, Dunne has also made two appearances in NXT. He has set his sights on former NXT Champion Trick Williams. Dunne blindsided Williams and attacked him on the July 23 episode.
