Peter Sarsgaard Exits 'Presumed Innocent' After 1 Season, Explains Why

Peter Sarsgaard has revealed that he will not be returning for Apple TV+’s hit series Presumed Innocent, and explained his reason why.

The 53-year-old actor portrayed one of the prosecutors, Tommy Molto, in season one of the Jake Gyllenhaal-starrer. Fun fact: Peter is married to Jake‘s sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal!

Peter shared his reasoning in a new interview.

“I’m not really that interested in sequels. I think I’ve only ever done one season of anything… I think I’m a one-season person,” he said (via IndieWire).

The show was based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Scott Turow.

Three people are confirmed to be back for the second season of the hit series.
