Casemiro’s showing in the first 45 minutes against Liverpool yesterday was so dismal that he was replaced by 18-year-old debutant Toby Collyer at halftime.

The Manchester United veteran came under fire immediately after being largely to blame for Liverpool’s first two goals, which came within quick succession of one another.

Luis Diaz’s first saw Casemiro play a careless pass straight to the feet of Ryan Gravenberch, who was able to carry the ball and play in assister Mohamed Salah to break the deadlock in the 35th minute.

He proceeded to be shrugged effortlessly off the ball by Diaz only seven minutes later to allow the Colombian to complete his brace.

Overnight, his wife, Anna, took to Instagram in response to the widespread criticism her husband has been receiving, simply sharing a snap of Casemiro’s illustrious honours collection.
