Members of the African Union Election Observation Mission on Wednesday visited polling stations across Gaborone, Botswana’s capital, to observe the Botswana Elections.

This was made known in a statement shared by Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria’s former president and leader of the AUEOM, on X.com.

He wrote, “Out early on Election Day in Botswana, we, as members of the African Union Election Observation Mission (AUEOM) visited some polling stations in Gaborone, the nation’s capital city.

“The October 30, 2024 general elections is the 13th since Botswana became independent in 1965.
