PICTORIAL: Police beef up security ahead of Edo governorship election

With just 48 hours remaining before the Edo State governorship election, the Nigeria Police have demonstrated their readiness for the poll, set to take place on Saturday.

Sensitive election materials, including ballot papers and result sheets, were delivered to Edo State on Wednesday via Benin Airport and securely transported to storage facilities under heavy security.

Meanwhile, the 17 political parties contesting the election are set to conclude their campaigns today. The leading candidates are Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
