PICTORIAL: Sanwo-Olu hosts Edo governor-elect, Okpebholo, at Lagos house

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, welcomed Edo State Governor-Elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, to the Lagos House in Marina on Saturday.

This visit was a gesture of gratitude from Okpebholo, who recently won the election.

This was made known by Governor Sanwo-Olu on X.com Saturday.

He wrote, “Today, I received the Governor-Elect of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, at Lagos House, Marina.

We discussed collaborative efforts that could benefit both Edo and Lagos State. It is clear that Senator Okpebholo has a strong vision for his state and is dedicated to its progress.

I look forward to seeing the positive impact of his leadership in Edo State as he embarks on this new chapter..”

The Independent National Electoral Commission declared Okpebholo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, the keenly contested governorship poll winner.

Okpebholo secured 291,667 votes, winning eleven out of the 18 Local Government Areas in the state, while Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party secured 247,274, winning seven LGs.
